7 Oct 2026 · A brain that forgets every chat vs a brain that keeps learning

Your AI forgets your business every chat. Here is the 10-minute fix

ChatGPT and Claude start from zero in every new chat unless you give them a standing brief. One page in a Project fixes it for good.

What the reel showed

Two brains. The top one is an AI chat with no memory: every new chat sparks, then disperses, and it asks who you are again. The bottom one keeps every conversation and lights up a little more each time.

The fix in the reel is three steps: write a one-page business brief, paste it into a Claude or ChatGPT Project, and say "remember this" whenever something changes.

What this means for your business

Every answer you get from an AI is only as good as what it knows about you. Without a brief it guesses your prices, your customers and your tone, so you spend the first five minutes of every chat re-explaining your business.

A Project (Claude and ChatGPT both have them) keeps your brief attached to every chat inside it. Write it once, and quotes, emails, social posts and replies to customers all start from your real business.

Keep the brief to one page. The AI reads all of it every time, so short and specific beats long and vague.

What I’d use

Use a Project, not the general memory setting. You control exactly what is in a Project, you can have one per client or brand, and nothing leaks between them.

Review the brief once a month. Prices, offers and team change; the brief should change with them.

Try it yourself

Ten minutes. Copy the template, fill it in, paste it into a Project.

  1. 1

    Fill in your one-page brief

Copy this template and replace every line in brackets. Short answers are fine.

    Your business brief
    BUSINESS BRIEF
What we sell: [your products or services, one line each]
    Prices: [your prices or packages]
Customers: [who buys from you, what they care about]
How we talk: [e.g. friendly, short, no jargon; sign off as "Felix"]
What we never do: [e.g. promise same-day delivery, give legal advice]
Current offers: [anything running right now, with end dates]
Facts people ask about: [opening hours, delivery areas, refund policy]
If you don't know something about my business, say so and ask me. Never guess prices or policies.
  2. 2

Create a Project and paste it in

Claude: Projects, then New project, then paste the brief into Project instructions. ChatGPT: Projects, then New project, then paste it into the project instructions.

  3. 3

    Work inside the Project

Start every business chat inside that Project. Test it: ask "What do we charge for our main package?" It should answer from your brief.

  4. 4

Say "remember this" when something changes

When prices or offers change, tell it in the chat and then update the brief itself, so every future chat gets the new facts.

    Paste this when something changes
Remember this: [the change]. Rewrite my business brief with this change and show me the new version so I can paste it into the Project instructions.
